Happy New Years! As I’m entering 2021, I can’t help but to reflect on 2020 and what a complete rollercoaster it was. Between what feels like years, I went from happy, engaged, and motivated to depressed and uninspired. I battled imposter syndrome and put so many limitations on myself. But I pulled through and decided that the only person that was capable of picking me up was myself. So the one thing I do know is that I plan on making 2021 MY year. I am going to talk about my personal goals for 2021 to hold myself accountable.
This is my first post since September 6th and honestly, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I want to post on here because I feel inspired to say or share something not just because I want to push out content. Blogging is something that makes me happy and I would love to use this platform to inspire and educate others.
FIRST (AND MOST IMPORTANTLY)
In 2021, I decided that I am going to do what makes me happy and work hard towards what I want regardless of failure. My personal goals are —
- Be more present with family and friends
- Graduate in May 2021 with Honors
- Be more consistent with my blog and put out authentic and inspiring content
- Inspire and educate nursing students and pediatric nurses on @bynurselauren
- Grow my business/daycare to full capacity with an amazing staff and great curriculum
This year, I am also getting married and I couldn’t be more excited! Less than 100 days until I say ‘I do’!
What are some of your personal goals or resolutions for this year? Let me know in the comments!
SECOND
Let’s talk about THIS look. Basically, this is one of my favorite outfits (all thanks to the butterfly blouse)! As per my most recent post, you guys know I have lupus and butterflies are symbols of hope for those affected by this chronic disease. But butterflies are also a powerful symbol of transformation and metamorphosis which makes this the perfect outfit for the new year.
